Cem Karavelioğlu

Cem Karavelioğlu is a Managing Associate in our Shipping practice and leads the firm’s litigation team. With eight years’ experience, he acts for P&I clubs and their assureds across a wide range of claims. Before joining Cebioglu, Cem spent four years at one of Türkiye’s leading shipping firms, where he developed strong case management skills and a pragmatic approach to dispute resolution. At Cebioglu, he oversees strategy and execution for contentious matters, coordinating closely with clients to drive matters forward efficiently. His work spans the full life-cycle of disputes, from initial assessment and evidence gathering through to negotiation and enforcement. Cem is admitted to the Istanbul Bar and works in English. He holds an LLB from Bilkent University and an LLM from Queen Mary University of London, and he is a graduate of TED Ankara Foundation Private High School.
